how to make a fake stamp image

Its been a while since i last posted anything or even visited any blogs. The truth is i was pretty much frustated with the whole card posting stuff and the techniques i ahd been employing due to lack of any scrapbooking or cardmaking stuff available in my country . It used to drive me nuts when i would see all that lovely prima , tattered angels ,timholtz and so on stuff being used on the other blogs and i always felt that my cards were never gonna be upto the mark.No stamps are available here and i could keep whininga bout the huge list of stuff that isnt here but Thankfully my brother went to the states and now I am waiting for his arrival (InshAllah ) on the second week of may Since hes bringing loads of card makingstuff ,....whoopieee!!! cant wait!!!!
But whats more important is that i can share a few dirty tricks for all those who dont have a stamps available in their countries :D...
Things that you need are a printer and a carbon paper. Now after you have google searched your desired stamp image for example i love the kraftin kimmie stamps which are not available here so you can go on their site, copy the image.Using microsoft word paste your stamp image picture in the desired dimensions and print it. Then simply using white card stock placing the black carbon paper ( which are readily available everywhere) beneath the white paper, trace the outline and voila!!!There you ahve it your own stamp image without the Stamp ..kheekheehkeheh. Ill post some pics tomorrow on how i do it and since there are no copics available here i use water color paints of Winsor and Newton (a Uk based company) Dont use poster paints since they give a cakey effect. After your done coloring with paints or copics you can use a black fine tip to retrace the stamp image outline to give a neater effect. This is all definetly time consuming but its the only trick i self invented due to lack of stamp availabilty here. Hope this all amkes sense!! Ill try to post pics soon! :)

Scrapping

Aha.....I'm so happy i sold a few cards today for charity! Plus i got orders to make some new ones!
This was my first attempt at scrapping. The picture is a very old one of my beautiful mother and elder cousin ( who is my aunt's daughter).
I must admit I got the idea of making the cabbage roses and quilled roses from helencrofts blog "scrap a little."
The picture is a bit blurred since i took it from my webcam....the digital has not been fixed as yet (sighs).

cards with foreverfriends elements

I just simply love the foreverfriends elements, they give you the theme for your cards!

building sandcastles in the air....

A very simple card. I used the foreverfriends Image and decorated the back by hand tearing grainy cardstock, using patterened ribbon and cutting and pasting images from this fun site where they were available for free (sO sorry ! cant remember the name) and plus this cute seashell like button that i bought yesterday from a lace shop.

FunKy Card with Tags

This card was loads of fun.I first folded white colored card stock in four equal halves lenghthwise. For The Front,I punched four holes on the 2 halves on the left side and passed white colored ribbon through; which i tied in a bow at top. Then i pasted green cardstock in contrasting colors with a printed message in the centre. I decorated the bottom with lace trimmed green ribbon and the top with a Lollipop flower. Then using a light gold ribbon i passed a smirk tag Beneath the message in centre.

Lollipop Flowers

In this card i acheived the 3D effect by making a lollipop flower.I got the idea from helencrofts blog "Scrap a little".

Decoupage

The decoupage effect in this card has been done using fairy doodles, from hallmark. I printed this and then pasted one on top of the other. The top and bottom have been decorated using xcut sunflower paper punch.

Quilled Feet

This was my first attempt at quilling. I follwed the technique from the docrafts magazine.
For those of you who are wondering why the date on which im posting all this work is the same is because i have been hording my work in a box waiting for my digital camera to get fixed so that i could take pics but then my dad came up with the wonderful idea that i should scan the cards and so here it all is :)

The Smirk Effect

My sister sent me some glitter smirk tags from uk and they were the inspiration behind making this card.

Wishing You A Sunny Day!

I made The frame by cutting brown card stock in freehand in the form of logs and then using a black fine tip pen to create the lines giving a wooden appearance.I used a beautiful green lace edged ribbon at the bottom. The mushroom and butterfly are both hand drawn and painted then pasted by using foam adhesive to give a 3D effect. The grass has been made by cutting green colored foam sheet.

Card

I really enjoyed making this card.I used pink colored card stock in A4 size and then pasted green colored patterned papers 8x8"by papermania. The floral border at the base i made myself by first drawing and then cutting and pasting the leaves and flowers and decorated it with diamontes and elemnts from the foreverfriends element collection.
